A Cotacachi leather armchair by Angel Pazmino in very good condition, with dark leather and a teak frame. The thick leather seat features an Inca motif embossed into the leather. These motifs are unique to almost every armchair. The frame is very sturdy and, like the leather, shows minimal signs of wear. All joints are intact and fit perfectly. The brutalist lines and simplicity of the construction of these armchairs remain captivating to this day.

The designer and manufacturer Angel Pamino is considered the leading figure of mid-century Andean modernism. His chairs and armchairs have been presented as gifts to various heads of state around the world. He has become an icon of furniture design.
