This exceptional lounge chair with matching ottoman is a striking example of the constructive, minimalist design language of European design from the 1970s. The chair comes from WK Möbel, Deutsche Werkstätten für Wohnkunst, and is attributed to Hans Eichenberger due to its design and construction.

The striking black wooden frame forms an almost architectural supporting structure: robust round timbers, clean lines, and visible connections give the design its graphic presence. In exciting contrast are the softly suspended leather surfaces of the seat and back. The combination of black, firm saddle leather and light, supple leather gives the armchair a special elegance and at the same time emphasizes its artisanal quality. The matching ottoman consistently adopts the materiality and construction and completes the ensemble.

The condition is exceptionally beautiful: The black wooden frame of the armchair and ottoman is in first-class condition. The light leather shows only minimal, age-appropriate signs of use. The black saddle leather is also very well preserved; all seams and transitions between black saddle leather and light leather are flawless and undamaged. The armchair offers great seating comfort.

Hans Eichenberger is one of the most important Swiss designers of post-war modernism. His designs are characterized by constructive clarity, functional precision, and a restrained, durable aesthetic. This lounge ensemble also shows clear parallels to Eichenberger's work: the visible supporting structure, the separation of frame and seat skin, and the confident combination of comfort and constructive rigor.

In the 1960s and 1970s, WK Möbel included selected seating furniture and designs from the environment of the Swiss manufacturer Strässle in its own program. This connection is documented, among other things, in the well-known King Chair by André Vandenbeuck, which is associated with both Strässle and WK Möbel. The present model also shows design and constructive proximity to Swiss designs of that time. However, a final archival confirmation of the specific model name and authorship is not yet available; the attribution is therefore deliberately cautious.

A rare lounge ensemble with a strong sculptural effect - elegant, constructive and of high craftsmanship. Ideal for collectors, design-oriented living spaces and demanding interior projects.

Vintage furniture & lamps – timeless design with character

Vintage seating and lamps represent timeless design, high-quality materials, and a distinctive character. Inspired by influential styles such as Art Deco, Bauhaus, Mid-Century Modern, and Postmodernism , they uniquely combine aesthetics and function. Whether vintage armchairs , vintage chairs , or vintage lamps – these pieces add stylish accents and lend personality and depth to any room.

Design classics from different eras

Vintage designs are characterized by clean lines, balanced proportions, and distinctive details. While Art Deco designs exude elegance and luxury, Bauhaus stands for functional clarity and reduction. Mid-century modern designs combine organic forms with a homely lightness, while postmodern furniture and lamps consciously play with shapes, colors, and materials. This diversity makes vintage furniture and lighting timeless and versatile.

Vintage Armchairs & Chairs – Comfort Meets Style

Vintage armchairs and chairs are more than just seating – they are design statements. Whether as a cozy reading chair, a stylish dining chair, or a standalone piece in the living room, they combine comfort with iconic design. Fabric- upholstered models have a soft, inviting feel, while leather versions impress with their elegance and distinctive patina. Ergonomic shapes, comfortable padding, and sturdy construction ensure lasting seating comfort.

Vintage lamps – atmospheric lighting design

A vintage lamp perfectly complements furniture and creates atmosphere. Whether table lamps , wall lamps , ceiling lamps , or floor lamps – they create targeted lighting accents or provide harmonious ambient lighting. Typical materials such as metal, glass, or wood, as well as warm colors, underscore the authentic vintage character. Vintage lamps are both functional and decorative highlights.

Versatile combination options

Vintage furniture and lamps can be flexibly integrated into a variety of interior design styles. They suit both modern furnishings as a deliberate contrast and classic or retro-inspired concepts. Vintage armchairs , chairs , and lamps truly shine when combined with natural materials, clean lines, or minimalist elements.

Suitable for any room

Vintage designs are versatile:

  • in the living room as an eye-catcher
  • in the dining area with distinctive chairs and lamps
  • in the bedroom for cozy accents
  • in the study or reading room for comfort and atmosphere

Thanks to their timeless design, they remain current even with changing interior design trends.

What does "vintage" mean?

The term vintage describes furniture and lamps, original design classics from past decades. We exclusively offer original pieces, not replicas. Vintage means an authentic look, durable materials, and a design that transcends trends.

Care & Longevity

Vintage furniture and lamps are designed for longevity. Fabrics, leather, metal, and glass can be preserved for years with proper care. Regular cleaning, suitable care products, and mindful handling ensure that these pieces retain their unique character for years to come. We care for leather armchairs and chairs almost exclusively with saddle soap and beeswax products.

Conclusion: Vintage armchairs, chairs & lamps with personality

Vintage armchairs , chairs , and lamps combine design history, comfort, and atmosphere. Whether Art Deco, Bauhaus, Mid-Century Modern, or Postmodern – they bring timeless elegance and individuality to any room. Versatile, durable, and style-defining, vintage furniture and lamps are the perfect choice for those who value character and quality.
