A wonderful rattan two-seater sofa with four-strand, wave-shaped rattan armrests. The sofa is in excellent condition with a minimal, attractive patina. All joints between the two individual sections are solid and intact. Its generous dimensions provide exceptional seating comfort. A true highlight for any patio or conservatory.

This exceptional piece displays all the details so characteristic of Paul Frankl's work. Therefore, it can be assumed to be an authentic piece by Paul Frankl. However, no manufacturer's proof exists. Frankl was an Austrian designer and architect who experimented with biomorphic forms and rattan and bamboo in the 1940s, becoming known for his pretzel designs in rattan. The sofa was most likely manufactured by Ritts Tropitan in the USA in the 1940s.
