The vibrant red Virgola armchair comes with a velvet/felt cover in good condition. There is minimal patina on the seat. The cover can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement thanks to a zipper system. The molded polyurethane and polyester fiber padding is secured to the steel frame with elastic straps. The black frame shows minimal signs of wear. The Virgola armchair is a true statement piece for any room.

The traditional Italian manufacturer Arflex was founded in 1947 by Carlo Barassi and Renato Teani, who were working with the new material polyurethane. With the support of designer Marco Zanuso, they succeeded in establishing Arflex as one of Italy's most innovative furniture manufacturers. The Virgola armchair was designed for Arflex in 1991 by Israeli designer Yaacov Kaufman.
