A classic tubular steel armchair in the Art Deco style of the 1930s. The armchair features a dark green faux leather cover and a chrome tube frame, which is doubled in the armrest area. The seat cushion shows slight signs of wear but is still comfortable. It has been reinforced with a leather patch at one of the rear corners to protect it from the metal frame. The back cushion is in very good condition. The chrome frame displays a light patina but retains a pleasing shine.

The armchair is attributed to the American designer Gilbert Rhode and the Troy Sunshade factory in the USA, which produced several of these models. It was probably manufactured in the 1930s.
