This lounge chair, upholstered in dark brown faux leather, is in excellent condition. The leather covering of both the frame and cushions shows hardly any signs of wear, the seating comfort is impeccable, and the chrome frame is in good condition. The clean lines of this chair and the lightness of the chrome frame define its timeless design. The German designer Hans Peter Piel designed the 800 series for Wilkhahn in the 1960s.

More than 100 years ago, the Wilkhahn company was founded by Friedrich Hahne and Christian Wilkening as a chair factory. In 1946, contact was established with the Deutsche Werkstätten (German Workshops) and the designers Georg Leowald and Herbert Hirche, who worked in the Bauhaus tradition. Since then, Wilkhahn has been one of the leading manufacturers of premium office furniture.
